Thoughts for the end of 2024

Dear all,

A woman with light brown hair tied back, wearing a cream-colored turtleneck sweater, sitting cross-legged on a white rug in a room with wooden flooring. Behind her are large green plants in decorative pots, a framed abstract painting on the wall, and some smaller plants on the floor. She is smiling and looking at the camera.

The approaching end of the year gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect. At the same time, we begin to recognise intentions, wishes, ideas, and plans for the coming year. The desire for change is there—sometimes more subtle, sometimes stronger.

Yesterday, I came across this quote by J. Krishnamurti:

YOU TRANSLATE THE FUTURE IN TERMS OF THE PAST. AND THEREFORE YOU THINK YOU KNOW. BUT YOU DON’T ACTUALLY KNOW.

This quote reminded me of how healing and powerful a calm, inward-focused perception can be—our connection to our original energy. During every yoga practice, we tap into this energy, this vital force that animates our heartbeat, every breath, and every nerve impulse. As we allow our limbs and joints to soften and open, this life energy and strength flows deeply into our inner universe in harmony with the breath.

In daily life, we often lose this connection. But during practice, we can feel the powerful potential of this radiant life force.

My wish for 2025: more peace, love, humanity, and deeper connections.
